rules of engagement
A just weight is the Lord's desire.
Thank you for choosing Mize Mobile!
Now it's worth a moment to have you check our policies page. We don't do business like most other companies, we do our best to stay a step above the common problems. This requires you, our customer, to stay above the common as well. We don't open a storefront, because we live, and work, at the track. There is no time, or place, for you to come to us during the week, because we're loading, unloading, scrapping, driving, eating, sleeping and crying before we have to get back to the next event 4 days later. So to keep things nice and smooth for everyone, these are the rules and principles by which we will serve one another. If we don't live up to our responsibilities, you have choices with whom else you might like to do business, all Q asks is that you let us know why. But likewise, this isn't Burger King or WalMart where the customer is always right. We have strict, but fair policies in place to protect obviously not only our staff, but also your fellow riders in the paddock, as well as the club that your riding with. We are their guest. Remember two things when you do business with us. Number one, the book says, "A just weight is the Lord's desire" meaning we will treat you fairly, with integrity, and we expect the same. And the other thing to remember, is that yes we have to be a company to structure the finances to operate in service to you, but we are a family first. And a company second. We are far less worried about the bottom dollar, because we are prioritizing your safety. You will treat your fellow riders and our staff with a like minded courtesy. Having gotten that out of the way, let us thank you for choosing Mize Mobile. If you have any questions, or need to render a complaint, or ask for help in any way, please do contact us. And welcome to our family!
Payment Before Removal
This is a common one. That's why Q wants it first on the policies page. After 30 years in business it's only natural that we do business with our friends. This leads some of our customers to want to "run a tab" or to think they can take the tire to their pits before payment arrangements are made. Unfortunately we can not allow this for these reasons. First, racing is physically and mechanically dangerous. If we had a nickel for every well intended customer that forgot to pay because they had a dnf or an injury, we could pay for more Mexican dinners. We love you, and don't want to see anyone get hurt or have a bad day. But the tire companies still want their money before we can replace the tires you took and burned up, so unfortunately, no credit can be rendered. If you want to run a tab out of convenience, then let us charge your card for too much, or hand us too much cash, we'll write everything down, and then issue a refund for whatever isn't pulled. In other words, you can run a tab on your money, but we're sorry, you can't run it on ours. When you tell Q, "Come on I thought we were friends," he's just going to say, "A true friend wouldn't financially strain us like that....."
Can't Reserve Without Payment
Ok so the second biggest problem goes second on the list. We all know the trailer can only hold so many tires, and with back orders and logistical issues sometimes your favorite flavor is running low during that particular weekend. If you know for sure you want the tire, just buy it, put it in your trailer, and then we will mount it for free anytime you like. But if you leave it on our trailer, and it's not paid for yet, we're going to sell it to the next person who needs it. We know you've been our friend for years and helped us with parts that one time yada yada yada but this rule is in effect for this reason. If you ask us to hold that tire, and it's the last one of its type, in every single case we can remember at least one more person, (usually three or four more) want to buy that tire, that they can see sitting in our trailer, but we tell them no, and then you have a mechanical and don't come back to pick it up. Now we've alienated multiple people, for you, and you then cost us a sale, multiple times. Not happening ever again. If you need the tire, pay for it, and it's yours. If you're not sure you need it, then it's for sale. You don' t have to like this policy, but Q said he appreciates the fact that you're going to live by it.
Bulk Buys
This is a pretty simple one. We offer discounts on 10 units, 20 units, and we wholesale to resellers. You may, (in fact we encourage it,) get as many of your friends and teammates in on the deal as you like. We don't mind if the whole paddock got the full discount, we're good with that. because it frees us up time wise to do less paperwork, and get to the fun stuff, which is helping you all win races. There is a rule put in place by the banks however. For each transaction that we take a payment on, we can only have one purchasing entity, with one delivery location, and they must match. We can't ship two tires to ten people even if you're paying the shipping, and call that one transaction. Get your buddies together, handle those funds amongst yourselves, and then bring us one method of payment, from one person, to be delivered at one event and/or shipment. We're so happy to help you guys get discounts, that if you're a tire or two short we'll call somebody who needs that and hook you up. Seriously, we want everyone to save as much as possible, but we have to abide by the agreements in which we are enabled to do business.
Trackside Financials
Ok, this is the fun one. You'll like this. So, ever since day one, Q has for 20 years now, always serviced every tire he's ever sold free, for the life of the tire. Yes, you heard that right. So...if you buy a tire from us, we'll of course put it on free. Then when it rains and dries up the next day, we'll move it two more times. For free. Then when you give it to your buddy and he wants to squeeze another day out of it, yes....... because we sold it, that is free also. Our staff is trained to politely ask if you bought the tire from us whenever you request a mount. That's not because we want to be negative and shame you for buying elsewhere. It's because we want you to receive any free service that you are entitled to. For you new folks, this service includes mounting and balancing the wheel and tire, with the wheel already removed from the bike. We DO NOT remove wheels, or work on motorcycles at the track. Yes Q is factory trained at Gold level in all four Jap brands, and is certified with Ducati also, but NO, he can not work on your bike at the track.
Ok, disposals are something we never charged for in the past, because we always pulled our resources with dealers and scrapped by the ton. We still do that now on our own, but tighter government regulations have led to increased fees. So forgive us, but we're falling in line with our competition and starting in 2025 we'll be charging $5 per tire to recycle.
